Hudson News has a new option to keep you entertained while traveling – self-destructing movie DVDs. Here's how it works. You purchase a disposable DVD at any of the Hudson News or the Hudson Booksellers stores at Sea- Tac Airport for $5.99. A variety of titles are available and the selection is refreshed every four to six weeks. The DVDs are in a specially–sealed packet. Once the pouch is opened, the movie can be watched as many times as desired during a 48-hour period. After 48 hours, the oxygen-sensitive disk expires. Used disks can be recycled at Hudson stores or disposed of in most plastic recycling containers. As with any DVD, you can view it in-flight on a laptop or portable DVD player.
A new full-service restaurant in Sea-Tac's North Satellite - Bigfoot Food and Spirits - is the perfect place to both fuel up and relax pre-flight. Dining begins at 5 a.m. with sumptuous breakfast offerings, including Lumberjack Omelets and a Beastly Breakfast Sandwich, and continues throughout the travel day with lunch and dinner entrees served up until 11 p.m. Barbecue, burgers, salads, sandwiches and more are served along with soft drinks and a wide selection of beers and wines.
Airport Airport visitors can try their luck at the new Washington State Lottery Playpoint machines in the Main Terminal directly across from Starbucks. Airport visitors, who are at least 18 years old, can purchase scratch tickets or play any lottery game including Mega Millions, Hit 5 and Lotto on the Playpoint machines. To ensure that the machines are only being used by players who are at least 18 years old, purchasers must scan their driver's licenses in order to play. Licenses from California, Michigan, New Mexico, Ohio, Texas and Wyoming unfortunately are not scanable.
The machines take cash only ($1, $5, $10 and $20 bills). Winnings can not be redeemed on site, but can be collected at any lottery retail outlet (a list is provided at the kiosk) or can be requested via a mail-in form, available at the Airport Playpoint machines.
You've Got E-mail - at the AirportNo laptop? No problem. You can now access the Internet, your e-mail and even use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint for your business needs on new high-speed Internet-enabled phones at the Airport. The cost is 35 cents a minute with a $5 minimum. The phones accept credit and debit cards as well as cash. Cash must be in $1 or $5 bills and no change is given.
The banks of Internet phones are located throughout the Airport:
