Sound Transit's SeaTac/Airport Station will be just a four-minute walk to the Main Terminal.

Sound Transit and the Port of Seattle are bringing Link light rail to Sea-Tac Airport. The combined construction efforts includes the Port's roadway improvement projects and Sound Transit's Airport Link project. Construction begins late this summer. The connection between downtown Seattle and Sea-Tac Airport will be completed by the end of 2009, offering a speedy and convenient way for both travelers and employees to get to and from the Airport.

Here's what's coming:

  • A 1.7 mile extension of Sound Transit's light rail initial segment, now under construction in downtown Seattle, SODO, Beacon Hill, the Rainier Valley and Tukwila
  • A new SeaTac/Airport Station linked to the Airport Garage by a pedestrian bridge
  • Trains that run to and from Sea-Tac every 6-10 minutes
  • A 33-minute ride between Sea-Tac and downtown Seattle
