The Port of Seattle recently completed a major $20 million modernization project of Terminal 25 for Matson Navigation.

Matson Navigation is a leading U.S. domestic carrier with over a century of service in providing a full array of transportation services operating from a single user facility.

Terminal Size

  • 32 acres (12.9 hectares)

Berths

  • Number: One 1,580-foot (482-meter) container berth

Water Depth

  • -50 feet (-15 meters) for container berth

Cranes (owned by SSAT)

  • Three 40 long ton Panamax size
    Lift above rail: 87 feet (27 meters)
    Outreach: 115 feet (35 meters) (13 container-wide vessels)
    Gage: 50 feet (15 meters)

Near-Dock Yards

  • Terminal is within 2 miles of both the UPRR and BNS Railway yards

Refrigerated Capacity

  • 307 reefer plugs

Gate

  • Five lanes (Three in-gate, Two out-gate); Three truck scales.

Hours of Operation

  • Gate Open: 0800-1630 Mon-Fri; Yard Support 0800-1620
  • Gate Open: 0800-1200 Sat; No Yard Support or Empty Yard
