ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:   Coach, develop, mentor, and discipline members of Systems Engineering, Database Engineering, ERP Administration, and Web Publication teams. Contribute to IT strategic vision of implementing Release Management, Configuration Management, Incident Response Management, and Service Level Management ITIL processes. Build relationships with all Senior IT Management leaders to communicate roles, knowledge transitions, and process interchanges. Contribute strategic vision of new processes, technologies, and organization that will improve the Port of Seattle's profitability and position as a technological leader. Improve the public image and brand name for the Port of Seattle by an enhanced customer experience, increased business functionality, and reduced expenses. Develop relationships and expectations with line of business customers and sponsors to set expectations and to deliver an adequately designated level of service. Educate other IT leaders and teammates on operational best practices, risk mitigation, and the quantification and reduction of operational expenses. Lead application and database consolidation and integration efforts to convert expenses to capital. Directly involved with business continuity strategies and execution. Assigning large effort tasks to Systems, Database, ERP, and Web teams to meet project deadlines and line of business expectations. Give annual performance reviews to staff members based on individual performance using input from Lead positions. Available to staff members, IT senior managers, and line of business sponsors 24x7 by phone to assist with incident escalation, risk assessment, and problem resolution. Work with individual staff members to define a career path, and performance check points. Oversee and approve all mission critical applications and data sources changes and configurations. Define key business and performance indicators for business application and database systems. Participate in service level agreement negotiations with business and IT partners. Business unit management experience that includes working closely with IT in the implementation and operation of large-scale systems. At least five years of experience in project management of major development or operations projects. Significant experience and knowledge in new computing architectures and implementation of networked computing structures; experience with intranet development and implementation is a plus. PURPOSE:   To provide electrical engineering design services on Seaport and Airport projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:   Manage and supervise project design phase. Gather and synthesize design requirements. Perform engineering calculations using analysis and design software, spreadsheets, handbooks, building codes. Review and stamp bid documents for construction liability in accordance with State regulatory requirements for self and others under direct design supervision. Select products, materials, systems, and configurations based on the calculations and project design criteria. Facilitate the permitting process and respond to questions from City building officials during permitting process. Review and assist in calculations and designs of peer engineers. PURPOSE:   Under the direct supervision of the foremen, will assist in the repair, modification, rework, and replacement of defective parts or software to restore system operation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:   Will perform maintenance on all electronically controlled systems and subsystems at Sea-Tac International Airport. Will work on a wide variety of systems, such as the Satellite Transit System (computer-based central control and monitoring system), the baggage transference system, Motorola trunked-radio system, as well as the ID Access system.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, OTHER WORK CHARACTERISTICS:   Must be competent with a wide variety of test equipment. Must be able to work both independently and with others in a diverse team environment with little supervision.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:   Associate's degree from an approved electronic technical school or equivalent. Minimum five years of recent progressive experience. Experience should include troubleshooting and repair of analog and digital electronics, as well as a wide variety of computers and networks. Extensive computer based knowledge in a variety of Windows applications and operating systems. PURPOSE:   To conduct research, analysis, and development of an After-Action Report (AAR) in relation to the Triennial Aircraft Collision Exercise (Tri-ACE) conducted on July 30, 2008.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:   Work with Airport Operations Training Manager, Emergency Manager, and related airport managers/liaisons to collect, review and compare evaluations and suggestions from Tri-ACE. Develop recommendations of best practices and revisions to the Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan and Incident Annex 1 pertaining to Aircraft Incidents and Accidents.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, OTHER WORK CHARACTERISTICS:   Qualified candidate will have the ability to understand and interpret technical materials, define emergency planning program objectives, strategies, and prepare related written materials. PURPOSE:   To provide law enforcement services to Port-owned and operated properties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:   Will patrol designated areas to deter and discover crime; enforce applicable laws, ordinances, and regulations; respond to citizen calls for assistance; provide emergency services; detain and/or arrest persons charged with crimes; issue citations; provide traffic control; investigate accidents and assist motorists and pedestrians; investigate crimes; write reports and testify in courts of law. This position may require the use of force, including deadly force. Will work with tenants, residents, businesses, and the community.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, OTHER WORK CHARACTERISTICS:   Must have the willingness and the ability to communicate and work with diverse groups; act independently; rapidly analyze and solve problems; be able to cope with stressful situations; apply policies, rules, and regulations and take appropriate action. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:   A bachelor's degree in law enforcement, public administration or a related field, or equivalent, is required. Minimum three years of command or management-level experience in a police department, including supervision of other police supervisors and day-to-day management of one or more major programs or assignments. Must obtain Washington State Peace Officer Certification within six months of employment. Must be able to perform all essential job functions identified for the ranks of Police Officer, Police Sergeant, Police Lieutenant, and Police Captain. A valid Washington State driver's license is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:   A graduate degree in a related field is preferred. Completion of relevant police management training, such as the FBI National Academy or Northwest School of Police and Command. Three years of command-level experience, with one year commanding/managing an operations assignment, as well as one year commanding/managing an investigative or administrative assignment. Experience as a Deputy Chief of Police or equivalent.

ENVIRONMENT:   Will generally work in office environment, as well as outside in all types of inclement weather. May be called to a major or other emergency scene at any time, including weekends, evenings or nights. Business travel also required.

PURPOSE:   To provide technical, logistical, and administrative support to the Airport Operations Training unit including coordination of the Inter-Active Employee Training (IET) system serving all airport employees. Assist in meeting compliance-related training requirements and other training projects and initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:   Proctor and serve as a primary point of contact for computer-based training courses, assist airport employees with training enrollment, course completion, special assistance requests, and data tracking. Support training activities and events including produce, duplicate, and distribute course materials, coordinate logistics and monitor/track enrollment. Function as liaison for airlines, concessions, POS managers and all employees on training data and reports as needed.

PURPOSE:   To assist in the development and implementation of an airfield-wide aviation safety management system which integrates divisional safety policy into aviation-related activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:   Participate in a grant-funded FAA pilot project that will investigate non-movement area safety hazards, risks, audits, tracking, reporting, training, and promotion with the intent of identifying gaps between the movement area FAA Part 139 requirements, potential non-movement area safety compliance, and identifying or resolving issues with competing interests. The pilot program will result in a Safety Management Manual which will guide the implementation of a comprehensive, airport-wide SMS Program at Sea-Tac Airport. This position will assist in the oversight and management of the SMS implementation and the ongoing safety program that will evolve from the pilot. This position will provide assistance in the project management, grant management, and consultant oversight, and will work with the consultant through Port processes and protocols to ensure that each element of the program is accepted and understood by Senior Management and the operational units affected by the SMS program. This position will assist in the understanding and evaluating safety issues in use at the airport and identifying mechanisms to integrate the elements into a cohesive program, requiring a broad understanding of airport business and conflict resolution. Will assist in ensuring that the airport is in compliance with FAAs certification requirements for SMS. Will assist in goal setting, planning, documentation, monitoring, tracking, and regular performance evaluation to ensure that goals are met, using tools such as root cause, trend and risk analysis.
